Heh, nice ramble Stilly.
Me, well I shy away from those big noisy trucks, they scare me a little.
Like sittin in a robot's lap.
I do admire those who are unfazed by such contraptions.
I used to envy people who weren't afraid to ride the octopus at the carnivals, I just couldn't do it. Sheer terror overtook my worries about what the Peers would think. They laughed their asses off at me of course, but you know I just didn't care.

Hows that for a ramble back?

I stay away from trucks too, very dangerous.

I don't know what the spider is,
Any carnival ride except the merry go round scares the hell out of me these days.

Women scare the hell out of me too.
I remember hiding on jitterbug's porch one night because of an uninvited woman guest.

And jitterbug laughed at me too.

Trying to think if a hero and a role model are the same thing?
Clarence Darrow was a hero to me too
Norman Thomas
Big Bill Haywood
Eugene Debs

"I never wanted to rise from the masses, I wish to rise with them"
Debs quote I think.

Martin Luter King yes

Einstein

Freud

Women heroes

I really liked Margaret Meade a lot
Emma Goldman more than Golda Meir
Molly Ivins ever since I first moved to Texas in 1980

and
Margaret Fell Fox,
since 1976

Who was your role model?

I wonder what Brittany Spears dad was like. Was she daddy's little girl

I remember all the hype about whether she was still a virgin
seems like only yesterday she was the all american girl, just doing a good old pg 13 bump and grind
lap dance on stage.

i yam always looking for good role models
never had one
they were all baddd

my patient in hospital yesterday named hero
was in the battle of the buldge
got hit by german schrapnel
used a tournaquet on himself
the cold coagulated the blood

now he's a very old man
yet only 24 years older than me

i have young men in my head who have been dead for a long time now
i wanted to burn down the lbj home in texass

my role model is not a human being
it is a prayer and a whisper for grace
[color=darkcyan]i'm on a survival mission

I have made a career out of following bad role models.

Started when I was a kid

Rootin for the cowboys against those Indian Givers

Imagine if the Indians had won.

Oh well
Smoke them if you got them
Where is steve mcqueen and the malboro man when we need them.

I thinky I think too much about death
I am a thinking man
Should never have started
but if I stop now
I drown

just a shortimer i feel like
nothing matters
my driver's license expires in 2010, I sure would like to renew it then.
Seventy don't sound so old anymore

thus death makes me a coward again.
a thousand times jim
I practice all the time
still catch me by suprise
one thought locked into a feed back loop
"lighten up"
as I struggle for breath and strength
to tidy up my life.

what the hell string is this

cause I am sure I must be way off topic

sorry clay

Steppenwolf, Herman Hesse

forty-four years since I read it
but that bit about drowning in one's thoughts still with me.

THIS JUST IN.
Associated Press: “Everything Involving Britney Is A Big Deal.”
And finally the Associated Press has instructed its staff in Southern California to be on the lookout for all stories about Britney Spears. Last week an AP assistant bureau chief wrote a memo to colleagues that read: “Now and for the foreseeable future, virtually everything involving Britney is a big deal.”
This Just In.
