Sunday Stream (150) ~ Consider Your Self

Post by mtmynd » February 3rd, 2008, 1:21 pm

Consider Your Self...
Do you enjoy hearing music that gets you high..? Notes that massage the mind and slowly eases up the spine as if there is a wonder to be had..? Have you heard sounds that relax you so that you just know that 'this is the way it should be!.' Consider yourself fortunate.

Have you ever felt so sadden that tears rush from the corners of your eyes without invitation..? Have you ever felt like the burden of the world could be relieved if only you..? Have the stirring of emotions left you so exhausted that sleep seemed to be the only escape? Consider yourself alive.

Has time brought you to places that you never wanted to be..? Has time slipped by so quickly that those dreams you had all your life will never materialize? So many moments have come and gone that you could swear they were only as close as yesterday... but you have no idea what tomorrow will bring. Join the human race to understanding ourselves.

If only you could bring to a stop all this ridiculousness that interferes with joy and love and being... wouldn't that be all you could ever really want..? But if life were seemingly all good isn't that just a mind game for you and you alone? Deep down inside you really know that you're just another suffering soul that pretends life is wonderful... a thing to be cherished and honored. You know... you know it's not real, really. It's all just a charade. You are no different from the rest of humanity - your own true self begs to be known and your mind just keeps denying it. But one day, one of these days, you tell yourself, you will find out the truth of who you really are. But that day never quite arrives. It's always in the distance.

Have you ever seen yourself as never arriving where you think you should be..? Where you are right this moment may be close to where you'd like to be but it will change... it always changes from good to bad to good to bad. Your mind plays with you. Consider yourself just like the rest of us. Nobody is exclusive. We're all included in the drama of our own making, looking at anything to hold on to... to make us some thing that will sustain us. It makes no difference what route we choose... we all end up wishing, hoping, praying that all will turn out.

We live for the good moments, the happy moments, the loving moments, the moments of joy and abundance that comes every now and then. These are really enough. Any more and we might become immune to our own suffering. That would be a lie. There's is no way to get off this wheel of existence until we live through it. Our lives are not meant to be all good. Our lives are not meant to be all bad, either. Those of us who do not share in the balance of living are not truly alive... and those that are not alive are but walking dead. But even the walking dead, if we observe them, are finding their own balance in the drama of life.

We may not fully awaken in our life, but we have the slightest light still glowing within, we will follow that light. We will follow that little glow until it becomes brighter and brighter... and that may take us several lifetimes. But time has a much different meaning beyond our worldly life. This little mote in the eye of the universe relies upon the spin around it's own light to measure it's worth, it's moments... it's time. But what measurement does the universe use to click away it's spin around a center that is unknowable? Our measly one year is nothing in the measurement of pure consciousness which swallows even the universe. But to know that we are sustained by this pure consciousness... what more can anyone hope for? Consider your Self.

Just this week, again, it seems.
Your mind plays with you. Consider yourself just like the rest of us.
I do.

having one of those weeks, mnaz? in speaking with various people around here it seems as though most are experiencing some time of disconnect from the norm, if you know what i mean. things are in the throes of change and nobody seems quite sure of the outcome (at least that's my take).

We're all part of this stream of consciousness then, our thoughts flowing outward, intermingling with the whole?... I better clean up my act!!! :P

Enjoyed the stream, as always. Thanks.
