Fine day here jim
I am in New Berlin
good day for a ride
sunny warm and calm
about forty five minutes before sunset
if I don't head home before dark
my scooter going to turn into a pumkin
my night vision not what it was
there is always the fighting
I am not into fighting
I am a heck of a nice guy
I would not hurt a fly.
buddha me
you can always say any tom fool to thing to a friend and still be Friends.

on it goes
people watching
people waiting
For the final answer

"All along the watchtower"
Hear you sing around the watch
Gotta beware gotta beware I will"

Watching myself

My Foo Dog
He has not bit me in over a month
He used to attack me at the slightest provocation
He has mellowed
So have I.

The blessings of longevity
He is 15 years old
He used to belong to
mz polly's
she used to live next door to me
before she got too old
to live on her own
she is in a nursing home
could not take him with her
They were going to put him down
Because they could not find a new home for him
he was such a mean little son of bitch.
When I first moved here he was always snapping at my ankles.

First dog I have had in twenty eight years

I am leaping into this year
The years go bye so fast when you are killing the blues

warm friday morning
the rain has stopped
rumble of distant thunder
siren wails
fades into distant
momentary silence
waiting for
the next train
the next jet fighter
my next breath
I been getting out to the country
refuge from the cacaphony

I heard three bird calls
sitting on the porch
could not identify any
but I heard them talking
me or each other
poe tee tweet
said one
Chirp chirp
said another
Trlllllllllllllllling
Said the third
Jet engines just started
the weird sound
AFB about 100 yards away just on the other side of the RR tracks
they have jet engine test stands
they fire them up and let them rip for a couple of minutes
discumberated me for a long time till the bear told me what it was
the sudden roar and sudden stop
no doppler

If not for the southern pacific freights barrelling by like temple bells
the noise would get to me worse
I am addicted to silence and solitude

just a GO
an open text box
waiting for a friend
the girl with the far away eyes

it beats the hell out of me
it beat Kerouac to death
a virtual suicide
could not deal with
the forlorn rags of old age
at the tender age of 47?
but time loves a hero
the real gone chicks all love him now

take this one with a grain of ironty or salty

much more than you gain.

i wish they could all be california girls

lust a line that ran from the south to New England.

My life as a hanger on around the college campuses on the east coast. She was a senior in the fine arts program at CMU

Sat me down and told me how it is
To see the pattern in my life
She said I always wanted the one I could not have
Two out of three was not bad
Tall woman six foot, flaming red hair
Brown eyes so brown they smoldered

We were in bed
but she said no
but I thought she meant yes
but I still took no for an answer.

it was a very good year
I been more interested in my feet these days
seems like that is where all the blood goes now.

I got heart like an old cash register
punch down a key and up pops another woman's face.
sometimes their eyes come back to haunt me

I feel like a fortunate son
If not for Plath
I never would never have realized I was a woman hater.
Like a slap upside my head with a two by four.

I always get what I got coming, I never have to ask.

I have passed into a sweet senility where I always feel like hemmingway in love.

damn this one is going to be embarrassing
