Rode my motor cycle today
Crossed over interstate ten
Looking west towards LA

I ran that road so many times
I know the mile markers by heart
Mile Marker Zero in phar lepht
Mile Marker Zero at Road Forks New Mexico
Mile marker Zero at Ehrenberg Arizona
cross the colorado
two hundred and twenty miles to LA
twelve hundred and fifty miles from san antone
An over night trip

Rolling hard rolling fast rolling by

I am down to my last two wheels
RIding my motorcycle I can breathe
No windshield
My nose busted so many times I can't breathe
but at sixty mileperhour
the air forces its way in

I remember a friend into breathing tantric yoga stuff
hard to get enlightened when you can't breathe through your nostrils
But on that motor cycle
in the wind
I feel like I am alive again.

good long day
sleep the sleep of the just
good night

Now I make that connection!
Zero Hero? Endurance of a vision,
I imagine...

Zero at Phar Lepht...
First time I passed through, it was dark.
Second time, I met Cecil and Soo and Nate and Yogi and Annie.

Zero at Road Forks, New Mexico.
Stayed there once.. spotted a road off to the side.
Had to chase down the manager, had to wait.
Next day it rained all over my road.

Zero at Ehrenberg, or Blythe,
where the shrinking desert
seems to begin...

Yeah, I can honestly say,
I remember those mile markers,
quarter mile stakes lined up like a picket fence.

shake um and rake um
we got us a convoy

I hear jimboloco on our back door at mile marker minus one
I got the rocking chair

and a Zero Hero on our front door shaking the bushes
the times was when Zero Motor Fright out of old san antone
had the fastest trucks on the LA run
like baltimore clipper ships during the days when an male human of African descent was four fiths of a man.
Those Zero Heroes was always out there
on the front door
walking the dog in them big old cherry picker peterbilts

mile marker zero
on I-35
lost and found in a border town
"their walls of made of cannonballs"
I never have crossed that river
but Texas feels a lot like old medico
and the yankess come down here and get pissed
cause the natives speak a language that was here
before English.

DTD is blowing the doors off mnaz
mile marker 268
in the middle of the big reservation
but them cigarettes cheap
on the indian nation

Poor old calija
He never drove a truck

the inperpetuaultuity jam
eleven hundred and six replies
the road calls
I backed up more miles than neal ever drove
the bravado
the miles
the motion
the ectascy of an infant
polymorphously perverse
in perfect body freedom
Jack knew
space-time
he was just kind of dumb about women
but of course I have outlived him by twenty years
no reason for me to be smug about that
just the blessings of longevity
real gone chicks
hip to our tricks

"I just heard a voice"
a beatles song
I forgot the time and place

I thought I heard "puddles"
talking skip from a thousand miles away
submit

first thought
the road calls
I got to ride
I don't want a pickle.

submit

the road
the sun
the wind

this silicon highway morrored in a billion distant servers
somewhere on the non space of cyberspace
so seductive
Road withdrawal
litkicks saved me
and seduced me
to this virtual highway
where the air is still as a sliver of einstein's brain under a bell jar

Oh lordy
take me away
I need to feel the wind.
and the sun on my face

like a serpent on a rock
or a pilgrim on his way

one more time
with effort
submit??????>>>>>>>>>>>>

that is the trick of the road,
the trick of perpetual motion.
before you get from here to there,
there is here, and here is there...
quite a conundrum... trucker's dilemma.
i coulda been a trucker if it weren't for all those cities.
and backing up. that would scare the bejeeezus outta me.
yes, i confess, i let the road in, and that is irreversible..

Route 66 was a well-known plot.
It had little to do with Interstate 10,
or probably everything to do with it,
as I recall from my fuzzy notes.

I like the idea of Sisyphus getting his kicks
What did he do to derserve such a fate?
You are right
I am absurd

66 has little to do with I ten
