"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

the last thing on his mind
was getting away with it
there was no after the fact planning
that was what was so frightening
he had no get away plans
his only thought
was
kill him quick
kill him in his sleep
no muss no fuss

He was astonished
to see he had this in him
he joined a Quaker meeting
hoping that might help

you could say it was in the heat of the moment
but it was not
it was cold
reptilian cold

yes he sits and wonders
what saved him from
a dark night of the soul

Sorry for the ramble
hell of write
tripping triggers
as I sit here wondering

was it nice?
I thought it was kind of a trite metaphor
for the realization that I love the darkness
So little of it anymore.

when I finally got around to considering the truth and consequences of the act, I realized I could do it like Chapman did Lennon, just hang around for the cops. But that seemed to be a big price to pay for a moments pleasure.

Since you wrote the poem
I won't ask you if you wondered too.

no my Friend I did not wonder
I am no doubt the sickest one here.
But that is just my vanity talking

I don't even know what a soul is
just something I conjur up out of the gray meat in my skull
I should have better said the long dark times of my life
cause that is all it is
just karma.

good poem
thanks for the inspiration to scribble a few words.
