Well yeah, mnazster, if the NL is at bat, and like anyone with some spine throws from the mound.

Serio, the point is Lit. should not be reduced to biographia, as even Miss wc sort of granted. Scoundrels and deviants might pen mahsterpieces: as even the beat kitties realized: beat did not equal marxist or PC do-gooder until much later.

Besides, ah sort of doubt most of the S8 geniuses have made it through any of the Cantos, or even the Best of EP.

This is true. I could barely make it all the way thru the summaries. What an astounding life's work. What an intense, immense mind. I am only left to wonder. And those recurring visitations from ancient goddesses...

Yeah the greek, roman and Euro-historical references can be quite scary to most modern Americuns. Pound's no mystic though: more like machiavellian. Wasn't his interesting (and controversial) essay on Jefferson vs. Mussolini linked to S8 a while back?? I believe it was (those interested can google). Mystic jive's more the beatski's MO.
