Song of the American Road

Post by mnaz » April 2nd, 2008, 4:58 pm

Have debt, will travel.
I live in a Big Box of DVD explosions,
parking stripes painted square on my ass.
Punch in coordinates and they explode.
Flat earth, flat land, plasma screen.
Suburbs are huge paved religions.
We may yet get a shot at those ghosts.
Watch the sun rise on oil stained wrappers.
Riff geniuses and power cords.

Riff genius.
Major combat operations ended.
Dogleg theory, domino, domini.
The Global War on your refrigerator.
The profits are smiling.

again you stun me
an apt collision of images

one day we will all have flat screen faces
and plastic surgery will be a thing of the past

hey, nazzer - this was an interesting read, to say the least. the lines ending with "The profits are smiling" is so apt... fuck those that are paying with their happiness as long as those profits have their sayso... why else would a profit be made if not to make the damn thing smile?

the "riff genius" thing sparked me...
Ted Nugent, Renaissance Man.
Project for a New American Century.
Buy it, bomb it, own it, fuck it, kill it.

This would have been better if longer...
I wanted to say more, but ran outta lunch break.

Thanks, judih, Arcadia... "Riff genius"... Somehow that descript stuck with me as I read T.N.'s bio. Yeah, DICK Cheney blew Bu$hco's cover early on. He had terrible riffs next to most of the other stark ravin' Rove/ian Alternate Reality Evangelical-pimpin' Freedom-mouthing Lying Corporate Cyborg Whores (T.M. "mnaz"- all rights reserved)... You know, he never really even bothered with it all that much. Pretty much just flipped us the fat finger and stuck it to us... Ahh, but I be ramblin' again. Talent nite at Tony's Pizzeria, as Toten might say... Who me?
