The Courtship of Eddie and Herman

Post by Totenkopf » April 7th, 2008, 10:57 pm

A Big guy: that's Ed's dad.
Flattop. Not just a mutha-f-n Do:
His head, flat, was, as in mesa.
And fitted with two electrodes.

Eddie, widow peak
chic, goth way before
Depp, Inc: he bounced you
off his femurs, pup:
teaching you the craft
the zen of Munster.

Danke. Took like some time too. I wuz going to delete but you jumped in. How you doin' wc darlin"? Anymore Buk stories? I take it you've seen Barfly eh. Rourke did it pretty decent Buk-chinaski, though maybe a bit raw. Buk was I think sort of a wannabe egghead

Ah that's related to my theory of "invisible poetics": TK offers the reader/spectator a tantalizing glimpse, an evocative hint, an intriguing suggestion, and then whilst she or he contemplates the tantalization, it disappears into air, into .....thin air. Rent Barfly: must see for underground-ish scribes...... and scribe-ettes

Yeah invisible, like Jeeeee-zusssss, or that supposed Pops JHVH. Or as Papa (not pops, or pope) yawped back in the pre-greeting card day: dear nada who art in nada, nada be thy name, etc etc. Note also lack of first person (nearly alwaze). Confessional hacks, whether plath, or most beastniks worked for Hallmark, ah contend.

True dat. Scribbling for Hallmark though, how'd that diddy go? that ain't workin'............ Most suckessful poeticals seem to be petit bourgeois, if not aristo-tory. TS Eliot wasn't out shit-kickin on friday night. Nor was Miss Plath most likely (she was instead eye-ing her wrists, covetously----), or that poor gent she f-ed over for years, Master Hughes.
