Hacker!

Post by Doreen Peri » April 12th, 2008, 11:29 pm

Goddammit!
Someone logged in as me last night
and ruined my Scrabble rank!

Who did this to me? Who do I have to thank?
I looked at my browser history and
I see my faves were hit site after site.
Geeeezzzzz! Looks like they stayed up all night!

Plus, what a flirt! That hack musta been lonely.
I suspect my reputation's gonna be hurt!
Oh and not only did she fuck up my game,
she wrote some lousy pieces,
signed my name to 'em and posted as me!
Where the internet police is, I have no clue!

How would you like it if somebody logged in as you?
There must be something we can do about this!
I'm pissed!

It's funny when the hack hits
it's always when I'm into the vodka martinis.
Gonna get out of this cyber shit, take a trip to Bimini –

Sit by the shore, sip on dry champagne,
spread some fish eggs on a paper-thin
whole wheat cracker. Goddamn hacker.

Sorry for the babble.
But I treasure my rank in Scrabble.

This whole scenario is too familiar. Have you ever wished you could Undo email? Brrr.

If God had wanted us to communicate by text, She would have created us with a keyboard attached to our fingers.

This is entirely unnatural. Why? Because it's all recorded. Everything is recorded. AND it never goes away. People think when they type stuff on the internet or in an email that eventually it will be gone, it will disappear. But that's just not the case. There are backups on the servers and people can forward anything you type.

Scary.

All that said, yeah, I've wished I could unsend an email before.

Thanks for reading, Terri!

my brother was an unscrupulous scrabble player. he would turn a tile over and play it as a blank! he said i had the right to challenge - as if that made it legal! sheesh.

constandino - that's a very funny story. What a clever family you come from. ;)
