Christmas 1938, Alcatraz Infirmary

Post by perezoso » December 22nd, 2004, 1:48 pm

A few seasons in the yard
flanked by punks
in the Bay wind and fog;
shoved into the hole
for various infractions,
and then dementia crept in,
syphilis; Capone was
moved to the hospital
to feast on hamburger helper
and a stream of visions
(if you may excuse a conjecture):
irish whores and
mayors on the dime
thompson toccatas
and the face of George Moran
leering at him in
some taoist corridor

I like "thompson toccatas" -- true to form I suppose but the weight of the rest of the piece benefitted from the implied metrical savagery.

criminal poesy
a carriage return in the middle
of a line doesn't equal poetry.
but it is a bright dollop of paint on the canvas
they gave ole Al a break, when they tired
of caring for his tertiary condition at State expense
and let him go die by his pool in Miami
living on his savings and wise investments
it was a case of Hunter Thompson meets the machine gun
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Stupid Bob were u by any chance tied to a Vogon poetry apprecciation chair when you rote that?

St, I've been tied to a chair for months. Last time I looked and didn't see equations or musical lines, I was in DC playin' a show for the Rod's merry band of litkicker's with dumb Dan. Oh, I failed poetry appreciation prior to first grade. Never claimed to be one - or an artist or writer or musician. Just plain ol' STUPID BOB.

ok, peribozo

I know you go for hystrionic realism
and you cry like a baby with a cock stuck in your ear
because you fear that they are getting close to your intellect
which is not true because your intellect is located in your anal sphincter

I never thought of myself as a hippie the way you think of yourself as an intellectual.

godless & songless, western man dances with the stuffed gorilla through all the blind alleys of a dead-end world.

Ah, Mr. P -- I'm the only one on the forums qualified to have a big stupid mouth - says so, right on the label. And why the fuck are you tilting postal? You wouldn't want me to go there.

S'up, homoy?
Heat got you down?
Misplace your carapace?
Yer scales a-wail?
What is your malfunction? (Whoops, gave ya a clue there)

Settle back and revel in your stew. You'll like it. We do.

As a matter of history, some HAVE tried to shut LR's mouth. They are now resting comfortable with strangers. He still lives. Think about that. Again I tell you, get your own line. I have first crack at him, but not today. Don't get in my way. You're a fly in this soup.

Don't mess with my place in line, it is one of the few things that gets me to the ticket counter.
