Sunday

it was good day
no pain
a little gain
walked a mile
had some smiles
life is good
and tomorrow
well
tomrrow
seems so far away
tonight all my troubles
are far away as I
Prepare to dive into sleep
my dreams to keep

I love to sleep
to dream
such msytery
deep sleep
walking the ocean floor
like a beatles tune
without a submarine

travel in space and time
through my dreams
another world
created by
the artist of that wakes
when I sleep

just where were we at?
survived the dancing
before falling into the
arms of the gypsy love-lies
on a street corner
in instanbul i now stand
wondering why i ever
drank from the cup
called moonshine....yet....

mighty pleasing
pappy's corn squeezings
the state song of tennesse
on rocky top
a little dab will do you
water of life
not to cross the line
between abuse and use
it has been good to me so far

an occupational hazards
for musicians and poets
or so it seems

down and out
with Love lies
and baby talk
sweet survival

lovers lies
desire trumps truth

rain pattering hard last night
drunken reverie

the hills and a tent
bonfires are inspiring
in a drizzle though
this was hard rain
fallin' @ 1st i thought
there was a mouse
in the house rustling
about....

the wind in new mexico
muddy rain in san antone
every thing as it should be
so they say
in Palestine the children
never smile
In Israel
the children are afraid
Hush little baby don't you cry
Daddy's going to buy you a gun

My foo dog is happy
He don't watch the evening news
He just barks at the mailman

e pluribus unum
sanctified & feisty

hopin for some piece of mind
also hope the people in the
audience are kind

if they decide to throw tomatoes,
i'll duck so they'll hit you!
all's fair in poetry

stacked high
multi dimensional
tasty treats
here a rap
there a turn
of the phrase
amplification
au natural
ears wide open
the thunder claps
this morn
9:08 am.
et spiritu sanctu
once again

poets are such tasty treats
the honeyed sap running through their veins
suckle the succulent synonyms
and taste the
tenuous turns of a
fierce fiery phrase...
spicy words upon my lips
to emulate the
burning in my gut
the churning of my soul
as this sumptuous buffet
of savory thoughts
spew forth
the dainty morsels
sauteed, seared, simmered
in my mind.

sizzling in the frying pan
words simmering
on the edge
the fringe
a word binge
call it action poetry
call it ~GO!
call it essence de nouveau
