The first time around,even ; I've been there a bit. Nice near Sligeach, too. Liked Tipperary , or whatever it's going to be called now.

Sligeach did have a fine Italian restaurant, and the worst cafe I've ever been to in my life in any country:

Carlton's in Sligo.

They were changing a light bulb socket with a circular saw over my table and the sawdust got in the boiled potato. That's not a made-up story. I've laughed about it for years.

Nicest people I ever met and the most hospitable live in Ireland.
