800 Studio Eights

Post by sooZen » April 25th, 2008, 12:56 am

According to the count next to my avatar this should be my 800th post. Actually there should be a reward or compensation considering how little I have posted since I joined the same month in 2004 as most of the originals here. Gives me hope that I am not the blabbermouth I am always accused of.

BTW, I have no idea what a resident prime8 is either and so I asked Cecil...who has that nomer next to his name and as usual, he had no clue so again I am clueless...it must be some plateau of numbers (shudder) or maybe a weekend training to be resident was had and I slept in.

I think 800 is a nice roundish number with a cherry red tinge so I thought I would blabber on about it. And as for you resident prime8's, you talk too much...

I tell myself that this sock puppet will self-destruct at ten thousand. But I have probably deleted about a thousand posts.

I suppose I am a ratchet jaw, but it makes the miles go by, like holding a CB mike in one hand and steering with the other.

holy moly! I don't even have 600? That seems small. I remember finding the studio when I was in Montreal. I think 2004 was the first year? Funny when you think about how long some of us have been communicating. Some of you have been following me around the country for 7 years.....right? LitKicks was that long ago, at least. Anyway.....it's been awesome. Now you can all read along as I grow from a roaming nomad into a stable, commited husband and father....

yeah they have something on this software called "ranks" and I wanted to know what it was and you're right, it has to do with number of posts.

So to try it out, I picked an arbitrary number of 2000 and called that rank "resident prime8" .... Then I saw that it worked but I never removed it. I forgot.

It really is a stupid thing.

I don't need to be reminded that I live on the fricking computer and have no real life.

:)

800 is a good number, sooZ! It's got an 8 in it, after all.

Good to see you hanging out again some!

yeah i think so... would have to check

it can be eliminated, changed to something else, or whatever you all want...other numbers can be selected for other names... but

it's sorta silly, no?

then again if anybody wants to have fun with it, just let me know your ideas and we can play around with it

we can set arbitrary numbers and change them every week or something so nobody knows what any of them mean ... i mean, hell, it would fit right in with the concept of poetry, right?

heh

Dor...thanks for clearing that up. Ranks huh? (Ranks don't matter to me...they rankle.) I think prime8 is clever and suitable.

BTW, I am always hanging here, writing or not. I have intimate (really) knowledge of the goings on. Whom wrote what or who said that to who. I have a personal spy.

I indulge my spy's (also known now as THE GRAND POOH BAH ) insatiable need to see his words in light(s).

Meanwhile...back at the ranch...someone has to keep the ball rolling, that's me the small pooh bah, which always means parceling out my time. Besides, if I want to use the computer I would have to unseat the GRAND POOH or write at an ungodly hour...which i am doing right now.

Regradless of how many everyone has here. I'm more concern about the point that's getting across in the end.
