on security

Post by Glorious Amok » December 23rd, 2004, 3:46 pm

some questions i have about 'being secure'...

1. do you feel more secure or more insecure than you used to?

2. did that change with a certain age or a certain event?

3. what stimulus highlights your security? your insecurity?

i ask because i am feeling noticably more insecure than i used to. i find myself more and more searching for approval than i ever used to. i think it's because i feel insecure about my job prospects, and hope to find a place where i can fit in professionally. which is a fine enough goal, i suppose, but it's making me feel like a dweeb in the meantime.

what say you?

I feel more secure than I used to. Much more so.
It's been a gradual process over the last year or so. Coming into my own as a demigod

the moment you feel secure, watch out.

the diff between feeling secure and insecure

is the same as being a cow as opposed to a wolf

cows feel secure in enclosed spaces like the herd

they are also destined for slaughter

wolves have to constantly work for a living

they are always insecure and ever improvising

you may not make it as a wolf

but if you do, you get to eat the cow
