After a short 28 year period of study on a little physics problem that culminated in a possible solution, a strangely tempered temper display on the board last night, and a call from a friend of mine in AZ from the top of the mountain about a near miss from 2004 YD that could have messed with a wide swatch of anything it touched here on our little ball, I have decided on self laicization as an avenue to excuse myself from the local environs.
After the near miss, everything else just pales in comparison. The flip side doesn't work in this case: one cannot just say, "It missed" and feel smug about it. Equations are cold things that only bend when the new formula is correct and Heisenberg is asleep. You can't talk your way out of this.
I proclaim all antagonistic effort spit in smugness, anger, insecurity or ignorance as a fallacious, worthless endeavor. I proclaim defense kindled by said effort a waste of time - perhaps even more so than the ignition point. Guilty me. Scream on kiddies.
There are more important things.
I'm off to some white coat offices, by invitation, in NM and CA and a quick hug stop in AZ right after I celebrate the important things down at Tres Rios this New Year's Eve.
