I'll take a
post-menopausal, bi-polar, alcoholic, bitchy, bossy, harridan
who has a kind heart and loves me

As long as she had a keen sense of humor.

Interesting comment Clay

Full of unintended meanings maybe, unconscious intent. I was thinking in the fall, after the heat breaks, I was planning on riding up to hillsboro on my motorcycle.

he thinks he's funny, jack

but he's not funny

maybe i should start calling him don rickles

in one short comment he's calling me fat and insulting my singing

how funny is that? does it lessen the ridicule by calling it a "wisecrack"?

sorry ... is it my lack of sense of humor?

nah... can't be... i'm 5'6" and weigh 130 pounds. Obviously not fat.

the stab at my singing talents is really ridiculous

why do you post shit like this, Clay?

Does it make you feel superior or what?

I know how he'll answer... if he even bothers to.

He'll say, "it was a joke, doreen. I was just kidding."

and then he'll accuse me of being overly sensitive and say I take things too personally

it's a pattern

it's been going on for years

I don't do ridicule well. I don't find it at all amusing.

I don't know D
I probably should not have posted back to it.
You have both said harsh things to each other.

I wish you both well.

I just wondered if clay had an ulterior motive for the cruel remark. I am pretty sure he knows it was not funny. Maybe he does not wish to hear the end of it.

All I think of is the John Prine Song
"I turn my cheek to unkind remarks."

He is a better man than me Doreen. I put a woman through worse.

ridicule isn't amusing. its intent is to diminish the other. not a positive thing.
