Go ahead. Talk about it.

What I am looking for is a lonely divorced woman with a fat insurance policy and cancer. I know where to look. Down to the the corner church, where I will cut her out of the congregation, marry her and wait for the blue chips to fall. I know a guy who is on his second wife that way. He has probably picked out his next duchess too.

It is such a sweet scheme, you even get the sympathy of strangers for your loss.
wicked funny, jack
but you know me, I like wicked funny
(what was the name of that church?)

What do I know
I try to comfort her son
He lost his mother
And her legacy to Mr Nice Guy Marry a Dying Woman.

I tell her son, maybe he was kind to your mother in her hour of need. Her son is no comfort to a woman in her time of need. That is why I slept on my living room floor for a month when his wife stayed with me during her time of need.

I wrote that last post about her son before I saw your reply. Kind of an afterthought.

I was coming back here to delete my posts. I have said too much here already. Please be careful Clay. I am digging you in deeper with everything I say here. Unintended consequences.

I hope we get to see each other some time for that drink. Maybe in the fall when the weather breaks. I am planning on riding my bike, I don't think I can make the trip in this heat.

Unintended consequences.
Are they really unintended, or is there some ulterior motive lurking in my subconsious? The fact that I raise the question makes me suspicious.
Crazy Mike's favorite term of endearment for his youngest son was, "back stabber"

I keep coming back to the concept of repression. Reification is such an interesting word.

Bottom line for me writing is a extistential strip tease. Strip it down to what that lidless eye sees.

And I write to be enlightened by the people here in this on line community, as we limp along on our path and try to save the world as we go. Save the world save our selves save each other. That is my conscious motivation.

I do not think my father was a sadist, just a woman hater. Like that poem yabyum wrote a long time ago about those crumbs of happiness. I have a few crumbs form my father

It kind of stunned me when westie said that about you, she is an intelligent woman and perspicacious too.

I asked a question here that I think is relevant about this partner thing it is one jamelah asked about six or seven years ago.

"Reading and writing, a marriage made in, _______?
I think that is my bottom line if love happened to me again. Someone who reads and writes. But I suppose she was speaking figuratively.

happy I gave you a laugh mate. It is good medicine

i think you're one of the most interesting writers/people on these boards. you've always amused/tested me with your slant on things.

and i admire the infinite honesty and openness you seem to exhibit.

I do seem to
don't I?

I am honest to a fault bennie
Which is not always helpful
In fact it has been dangerous to me
more than once.

Clay I forget the name of the church
but I remember they had this big picture of a dead Jew in the window if that is any help.

It is a put down of Texas
by Oklahomans

But I love Texas, it's just Texans I can't stand. Just joking of course. Texans are the salt of the earth. Molly Ivins god rest her beautiful soul had the best Texan sense of humor I ever knew.

is anyone really interested in the original question anymore..?

Hes'... congrats for trying to get this thing back on track.

[one thing i do have to say: this board, S8, is truly unique. I love this place. There is so much bullshit and grace being flung together that it at times literally blows my mind as to why I'm here reading things like this thread. (Why are you reading this shit, Cecil???)

Ya' just don't read shit like this thread (for example) on any other boards I frequent!

Maybe we should create a list of rules and call them our "terms of service" and then enlist a group of moderators who go behind closed doors and argue with each other about which members are breaking the rules and then make decisions about which rules were broken by which members and give those terms of service violations and kick them out.

Then we can be like all the other sites.
