Eyewitness Account

Post by Lightning Rod » May 6th, 2008, 1:07 pm

maybe this is nothing new
maybe I've written it all before
I have to tell you the truth
because my memory is not good enough for lies

we only have one set of eyes
and I can't see through yours
if seeing is believing
maybe we are seeing different things

eyewitness accounts are faulty
they are confused by panic and blood
and the heat of the moment
when the pupil dilates like a galaxy

I confuse my dreams with the morning
my eyes are tired from them
by evening I believe my dreams
more than my vision
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

No problem, Jack. Just thought your comment came first and I didn't know anybody but admins could delete comments when other comments had already been made afterward. Your reply must have been after westie's. If not, then we have a software glitch.

I notice everything around here, btw.

No I can't
I deleted before the any other comments were made, my comment was the last one on the thread when I deleted it.

Once a reply is made the delete button goes away

But maybe I did not understand you.

I like to notice things to.

I have always been interested in eye witness accounts

And I noticed how different the news reports of what I eye witnessed seemed to be so different from I witnessed.

You understood me perfectly. And sounds like the the software is fine.

.....

Lrod - apologies for the interruption on your thread.

Interesting poem.

Perception is one thing.

Facts are another.
