I say let's celebrate

with a 4th Anniversary Image-ination ART Jam

Words and Art. Jammin. Whatchya say, eights?

.......

Oh and Yab, there are no guarantees so please save your work, ok? Hosting is paid for for another year. I can only do it a year at a time. But I could get hit by a truck tomorrow and I have a potentially fatal disease so who the hell knows, right?

Carpe diem.

Also, please send me your address. I know you did at one point, but I've misplaced it. Thank you!

Looking at the izzy four years ago and the izzy today, I am mesmerized by how much has changed! I am so proud of this site for allowing me to grow! Intellectually, artistically, emotionally. Studio Eight is my internet home!! Thanks D for being such a good host.

It's a great community we have.

You all are very talented artists and I thank you for all of your contributions and for being here!

I wanted to create a site which would encompass all the arts. I had thought about it for quite a few years. I know I keep saying another part of the site is coming soon.... unfortunately "soon" was the wrong word. It IS coming, though! You will be able to create your own web pages and upload galleries of images as well as albums of mp3s. It's going to be great! My idea was to create a site to give to the artists to do with what they want while encouraging collaboration. One day I'd like to do something similar in a real brick and mortar setting..... performances, poetry, visual arts, dance, theater.... all together in one place. I'm into making dreams come true. I just need to figure out how to do it. Talking about it as much as possible is the first step. If you'd like to envision it WITH me, that would help, too. The universe can give us what we dream because we can create it.

It has been a great 4 years! Thanks so much, everybody!

And even though the dream is to give the site to you all to enjoy and do with what you want, I am always honored when I join another community and fill out the form where it says, "my website" and link to Studio Eight. Because this is my website and I'm proud of what you all have made it..... honored to be part of it with you.... and so happy you all enjoy yourselves here.

What I'm trying to say is.... the concept is nothing without the people. It's YOU who make the site what it is.

Thank you again!

;)

Footnote - Earlier today I was told that this was not my website. It's true that it's all of ours. But still when I fill out a form that says "my website," this is the website I type in. Why shouldn't I? It's my website. LOL :)
