It's okay, Clay... bad taste is not uncommon for you. I've read my fair share and will continue to do so.

Great.

Good excuse for what you did.

Couldn't you just say you're sorry? And maybe be even kind enough to remove the image from your post?

OK. Whatever. You took the gravestone of one of Cecil's friend who died and you photoshopped it. You think that's OK? It's disrespectful. Your problem, not mine. I'm finished with this thread. You have been disrespectful and rude.

Just know that type of behavior isn't tolerated here on Studio Eight.

Lrod, I appreciate that this is your thread and I share your cynicism about wars in general but what you did to our friend Dennis's gravestone without asking Cec if it was cool was not. It is akin to desecration of a beloved ones grave.

I am sorry for your loss of your friend by whatever means. Dead is gone forever. But we love and miss our friend Dennis and that was HIS headstone and Cecil posted it in memory of HIS dear friend...

Just not cool dude, just not and we do mind what you did and I will suggest that you remove the picture that you altered, thank you. Next time, please ask if it is okeedokey, k?

We love you too.

sooz, you know how much respect I have for you and your opinions
I took a second look and I'm still not convinced that this was disrespectful to your friend. My friend would have loved it.

But if you ask me one more time, I will take it down. But I think it illustrates the point of my original post very well. Would it insult you if I had used a generic tombstone?

I'm removing the image myself.

Apologies to Cecil and SooZen for this type of thing happening on this site.

Thank you, SooZen for speaking out.

Rod, My Momma always said, "I am not gonna ask you twice..."

There are obviously two differing perspectives here. That was Cecil's pic of an old and dear artist friend's headstone...You don't see the error of what you did but it was rather offensive to us who love and respect you also. You know we do. Let's move on buddy, we ain't begrudging you but want you to respect our wishes too, especially when it comes to altering someone else's pic or art without asking, especially your friends stuff. Just ain't cool.

Now, I am gonna go have me some fajitas at Kiki's and if you were here, I'd buy you a cold one.

Dor, it's okay hon and thank you for seeing the light. I'd certainly buy you a fine dinner tonight and give you a big ((hug)). Don't worry 'bout us darlin', I've raised enough boys to know what big goofs they can be...love you.

virtual desecration of tombstones?

um...please.

any and EVERY image posted on the web is fair game to be altered, distorted, re-used, photos of monuments to the dead not excluded.

if you're so easily offended, don't post it on the internet. (that's a general, an unaddressed statement, not addressed to those here.)

L-rod just got censored plain an simple.

way to honour those who died in foreign warz, so we could take away our own freeeedom here at home.

what's next, mandatory pledge o allegiance to Bush?!

Thank you. It wasn't the dead so much as the living who were defiled. I would never think to alter any picture you posted, never without asking you if it was okay or that you didn't mind. You know what they say about assuming... I am just sorry that you don't get it.

This has been an emotional day for me and I am tired and need sustenance. I am going now and I hope that this is all done.

Salud.
