enjoying this too...I'm playing catchup here but I offer this first stanza from my poem 'The Tell' for your Magic 8 Ball.

This cask of earth protects the soul's
intuitive and psychic eye.
But feigns a winning hand of hearts
then sleeves the ace and sells the lie.
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau

the 'tell' is a great poetic image, emel

I wrote one of my columns using this conceit

everybody has their tell (you can tell that G. Bush is lying when he smirks...or maybe just when he opens his mouth...haha)

takes a good poker player to pick it out
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Thanks Rod, I'll post the complete poem here one day. I'm not much into politics these but I did pen this haiku yesterday that you might like...

beautiful day
politician speaks
canary dies
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau
