three degrees
hotter than hell,
a collage of my thoughts
hangs in the thick
wet baltimore air...
words press
against my heaving
bare chest
or
is that your weight
that I feel on top of me?

you pass
your magician's wand
over my words
to prove to me
they have no support...
hot crystalline orbs
peer inside
the heavily fortified
regions of my inner soul
with the carnal knowledge
of an experienced therapist...
enticing ember eyes
burning a clever new route,
a detour
that gives new meaning
to weekly physical therapy,
blazing and determined
like lewis and clark,
scorching
like rosie's rivets.

quench the beast,
soothe the mania,
relieve the anguish,
squelch my angst,
pacify the past,
caress the neo-demon....

wrap me up
in your endless curves,
stick your fingers
in my panting brain,
gently massage
the defective neurons...
rap to me
sing to me
read me a story,
you and me
and the goddess
venus flytrap
