rhythms

Post by Doreen Peri » June 10th, 2008, 11:54 pm

ya got da rhythms down,
brotha.. one line then anotha,
cool like dat fat permanent awakening
shakin' it outa da taking of a dice spin,
and babe, i'm in it like a tornado idea,
i'm in it like the spill of a diced seven eleven,
i'm so damn in it i don't not only want to not
argue the point, i won't 'cause arguments are
futile endeavors and we be more clever than that,
m'friend

so let's just end the dialect with the Almighty
or start it up one more time 'cause by the time i spend
this particular dime on a dialup, price has gone up to a dolla
and if i don't got it, well hell, gonna have to holla it out to be
heard, absurd as that may sound so glory be,
glory IS, glory

whatever showbiz we got ready to perform and praise the
amaze of a tailspin from yesterday's snowstorm

'cause this is spring and i aint got a thing
but my head on me, my body now
completely in disarray the way
a day happens when it's about ready
to be done and renew once more at sun up ...

yeah i got da glory and a story to tell ya
if yer ever inclined to listen

but until then
let's just say yes and agree,
yes and free ourselves
up from any attempt
to intuitively try to figure out
the glory which may await,
the story which takes
our head into a vice
and explodes it
with a squeeze

or a silly pun

heads up!
i'm done

You got that jive beat which vibrates me like a buzzin bee. There is so much hip hop hippie daze here that I never wanna leave. I can dig your verse like a juicy fruit sparkle on my palate.

D,
I have my own take on this and against my better judgment I will post it now on S8 ... I envy your spontaneity and think this is just a magnificent example of self expression.

shadow bugs horsehair plugs ten thousand trees in the sun i came i saw i read hey this was lots of fun...atlantis is a martian tale after all, set to a negro rhythm...girl you're buzzing like a fly at a closed window...i read this earlier and i walked off with somethin' in my head and i wrote it down...it just won't do to have nothin' to say in this town..and here it is TADA!...

A Window Here

i've a window here
open to the sun
the screen is covered with fragments
of spider webs & strands of hair
there is a moth clinging to the screen
busy cleaning her antennae
with her belly toward the sun
that must feel good i think
i take my eyes off her to tap out these words
and when i look back up she's gone

when you have wings
you can make a wind of your very own
and lift off from anywhere

...well thats it...now i have to go change a blade on a lawnmower...while doing that i'll probably get the opportunity to see
how many ways i get to transwarp the f word...i wonder if they had the f word on atlantis & if they did have it, did they ever use it? Maybe they only said it there at the end.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

never been much for showbiz...
never had that kind of high path.
I always had the rhythm, the pulse,
though lately it left me cold,
left me talking to myself..
I know it'll come back.
