Jesus Christ Almighty

Post by hester_prynne » June 11th, 2008, 1:18 pm

Backlot scene:
five twenty-seven fifty three,
nine twenty-seven am.
Roll em!
(The silence is deafening)
Oh for God's sakes.
What the hell
happened here folks?
I need screaming and fussing
for this scene,
come on!
what's this quiet?
what's this wide-eyed silence?

You got me the wrong one
for this scene again dammit.
Cut!
Look Bill, I told you,
we don't want an old soul
for this fucking scene okay?
We need a regular
carbon copy who
cries, laughs, screams,
and shits on cue without fear okay?
And you send me this useless
little wretch!

Look at her,
she's minutes too old now,
and she already knows the score.
Musta come from struggle,
or abuse or something.
Get her out!
Send her home.
And get the money
we paid in advance back, okay?
Jesus Christ almighty.

Reminds me of an opera or maybe it was a movie
Laugh Clown Laugh
based on the opera maybe
Don't ask me why
everything reminds me of something
a function of my age I guess.

disturbing
and excellent poem theda.
thank you
I sit her in wonderous awe at y our gift.

On a more serious note please becareful about taking the the presidents name in vain.

On a total unrelated personal note
Maybe you saw them hitching up and down the west coast sometime
People in white wearing olive drab army blankets as ponchos
The Christ family
the leader a former house painter from LA
Who had his name changed to Jesus Christ Almighty
mostly Jews in his little tribe I think
She joined them for a while
this beautiful middle aged Jewish housewife from the east coast
I left her no choice I guess it was her flight to safety her hejira? from me
I don't beat myself up
about it no more
but I don't forget either
redemption does not work that way for me
in the eternal return.

I am a rambling fool
what can I say
sorry

hester, this is brilliant...has all these sharp edges that that cut you in the appropriate places....I dig the old soul message here, "cause I
can really relate to it....It would seem we have no choice, hester...
we're stuck with these already used souls....I remember now, I wrote something similar, I''ll see if I can find it to post here...Thanks for
posting this one!.....peace, steve

Hester, you write the poems which make the grown folks hop up and down! Fantastic.
