Honest

Post by Lightning Rod » June 13th, 2008, 8:49 pm

honesty has no place in poetry
it is pure illusion, hands faster than eyes
besides, if I told you the truth
you wouldn't believe it

even if I could feel your pain
I couldn't put a band-aid on your world
when I said I was a surgeon, I lied
because honesty has no place in poetry

the sky is only blue if you agree
we only see if we can see
the truth is not made of honesty
which has no place in poetry
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau

Honestly

I think it is the poet

who needs the band aids.

Nothing has a place in poetry

I think

That is its mystery for me

I liked this one a lot too clay
even if I hardly ever read poetry aloud
But even I could see hear the sound of it
