Random headlines no. 4, with commentary

Post by mnaz » June 19th, 2008, 3:59 pm

"House to vote on war funds, unemployment benefits"
I thought they were trying to combine the two.
"Guns go quiet in Gaza, but skepticism remains about the truce"
For over four-thousand years or so and counting.
"Obama opts out of public campaign finance system"
He can afford to.
"Genetically modified mosquitoes may combat malaria"
How do we modify all mosquitoes?
Or do the new ones fight some sort of mosquito world war?
"Leading economic indicators inch up, but weakness remains"
Like my attitude. Or hair.
Random. Keep it random.

Pulled these off the A.P. feed on another site's banner page.
The first one caught my eye (and rankled me), so I figured, what the hell...

By the way, the House approved another $160-billion for the war.
I'm just so stupendously delighted to hear that....
Fuckers.

I been pulling off too but I don't have your gifts

"smugglers have had the plans for compact nuclear bomb for a decade"
this could be good news,
everyone should have their own personal nuclear device I believe
opens a new dimension to road rage.

"McCain's spiritual advisor calls for war with Iran"
"The spiritual leader of Iran says nuclear weapons are not permissable under Islam."

Nice work mnaz
I got a whole list of of headlines and by lines perculating in my brain at all times. But you know how to use them.

"McCain's spiritual advisor calls for war with Iran"...

Was that an actual headline? The Hagee thing maybe? Geez..

Man, we gotta keep these End Times 'evangelical' fundies outta power and influence. They're just spoilin' for The Big Fight.

"Personal nuclear device"...
Could be huge. Even bigger than the PC!

No not Hagee, this is another guy-- Rod Parsley. And he has not renounced him yet. McCain called him his spiritual advisor.

Sorry I missed this

Apparently he has renounced him. Before the Texas primary he picked up Hagee's endorsement, and before the Ohio primary he picked up Parlsley's. McCain got integrity, now that he won those primaries.

I expected more outta McCain. Not sure why. He's just a tool at this point.

Thanks for the Parsley link. (I think). Unbelievable...
The guy wants to resume the Crusades. And he has a
television studio in his neighborhood megachurch.
