The Beauty of Sterilization

Post by saw » June 21st, 2008, 8:25 am

I don't belong on this planet,
a terrible mistake was made.
A drug dealing cosmic stork
mainlining liquid milky ways
blinded by the Northern lights
took a wrong turn
at the former planet Pluto
dropped me on this love forsaken
planet we call Earth
but is known elsewhere
in the galaxy as
The Sphere of Morons.
My Vulcan sensibilities
cannot relate to human endeavors,
rampant consumerism,
hypocritical religions, senseless war.
My DNA may indeed not be special,
Hell, I don't even know if DNA
is what I have, but certainly
we can all agree that our current leader
was plucked from the shallow end
of the gene pool, I mean really,
waging war to bring peace?
Killing innocent people in the name
of freedom ?.....HELLO !
I'm struck by this bizarre planet
where people work two jobs,
max out their Mastercards to buy
the colossal jumbo Hummer
urban assault vehicle, Supersize Me
they scream, then get a third job
to put gas in it......their garages
too small for mammoth metal monsters
are converted into playrooms for teens
by absentee parents with over active
social calendars.....yea, Mom and Dad
use state of the art GPS to ensure
they will always be on time for the next
cocktail party, but have no detection system
to learn Junior is watching policeman's blood
splatter on his video screen as he amasses
a sizable arsenal and carefully plans the details
of his upcoming assault at the local high school.
King George collects burlap sacks full of blood money
to pay for his dreams of revelation, this one they
call "W" vows to kill anyone who won't embrace
his apocalyptic vision of peace and freedom.
Zero Tolerance, he screams, if you criticize....
Zero Tolerance, he bellows, if you dare to resist....
Well how about, Zero Population
if your name is Bush, can we really be safe
as long as they are breeding ?
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

there is a point when you know so clearly what you don´t want but there is also difficult to stand/support/be envolved in what you want. It´s an interesting point, no obstante!! . I enjoyed the poem, thanks!
