The Girls From Vancouver

Post by saw » July 2nd, 2008, 6:37 am

Sing to me
like The Be Good Tanyas,
"Waiting to Die",
sounding like a nice way
to pass the time,
guitar, banjo, fiddle,
three part harmony.....

these Canadian women
could bring a tear to the eye
of a corporate gunslinger.....

who secretly dreams
of BC bud and a life
without deadlines,
power point presentations,
progress meetings,
kicking ass......

but the feeling is the same,
ass kicked, or kicked ass,
the same hollow feeling
regardless of which is which,
empty as a downed six pack
of Moosehead.....

......and the luscious sirens beckon
from the other side of the border........
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

hey, send some of them luscious sirens my way, especially if they know their way around eggs over easy with hash browns and bacon, but even if they can't cook send them anyway...
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

thanx mingo, don't know about The Be Good Tanyas cooking skills, but
they are heavenly with the headphones on, lying in the easy chair,
drink in hand, they have this amazing power of transcendence....
simple, honest music that I can't get enough of...no I'm not their
agent....thanx westie janet...another Van chick, huh? Is that like
Van-couver or Van Morrison....thanx Arcadia...Moosehead is a Canadian beer...........
