my foolish inclinations

Post by constantine » July 12th, 2008, 10:58 am

words are all i can give her
she is beyond my reach
touch, i smile
at her with outrageous stories
similes and metaphors
i bandy my intelligence
show her i have something to say
that i'm different
but she knows i'm not
she is being reasonable
showing good sense
i touch the keys that are not keys
long distance phone calls
electronic impulses
i argue without arguing
i beg without a cup
this is the point
where i should step back
try to relax and examine
my foolish inclinations
i light a cigarette
walk to the kitchen for coffee
pick up the pen and continue

..."i light a cigarette

...ain't that always the way of it,though? - I always keep weapon for foolish inclinations loaded & ready for action, .44 caliber - you need heavy duty stopping power for this kind of thing...and ain't it a hell of a grand day?...thanks, cons, I enjoy a great read.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Late to the party as usual but I had just as much fun with this dino...

say, ya don't think that saw would actually play the saw in that band with theda on vocals and mingo on the sauce..err..I mean jug :D (damn where did I put my washboard)
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau
