Equality

Post by hester_prynne » July 13th, 2008, 3:47 pm

I hold my shit in,
wait til the haves are through.
Then I meekly take
my bloated turn.

I wait in back of,
foodlines up ahead.
I hope to fill my plate
before all is gone.

I see equality
not a man/woman issue.
No, it's much biggerbroader
than just that.

It whimpers like an ocean,
breathes in and out like waves.
It searches vanity
for a meaty bone.

We dip our painted toes in,
screech a bit, then bury it.
Unmarked graves,
in a wealth of sand.
"I am a victim of society, and, an entertainer"........DW

it's always been about the classes, but the haves are good at promoting our differences as a smokescreen .....the war between the sexes, racial prejudice, ethnic cleansing....all just ways of dividing us
up into groups too small to take them on....just think what could happen if we all joined forces....oh,oh, there I go again with my
revolutionary bantering.....enjoyed the poem, hester.....
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
