yeah, wired, that Villa statue was a surprise for me. I had no idea that it was there until my very first trip to Palomas. There's no river that divides the two countries - just an invisible line, right? And our goddam Homeland Security has put up the notorious 'Tortilla Wall' that is one ugly, dark, heavy, metal barrier. It looks so out of place sitting there in this enormous expanse of desert... and it goes for maybe a few hundred yards (so far) and then ends. shit, any one could cross over... everyone knows that. o well... life is perfect as it is, right-o?

Pancho Villa came into the U.S. thru Palomas and into a town named Columbus (which is a pretty pitiful place) and there was some killing.

Ahhh yes Pancho Villa. They chased after him but never caught him. Hint Hint!!!! PV (His real name was Doroteo Orango Arámbula) was looking for this arms dealer that welshed on a deal he made with him. He found him and said refund or gave me what I really paid. Ironically there is a photo showing John J Pershing who would chase after Villa. He is standing right next to Villa. No matter how much money they waste on building that wall. They'll never get it!!!!
