ABC's on LSD, the day I had lunch w/ Suess & Leary

Acid-tripping aardvarks always
Bewilder bluenose back-flipping
Centipedes calmly counseling
Deeply demented dragonflies.

Enigmatic electric eels
Flip-off flamboyant flying
Green gorillas gaily gawking
Hapless hirsute hippos.

Inanely immature iguanas
Jive juicy joking jaguars
Keeping killer kangaroos
Laughing like little lunatic
Monkeys mimicking madhatters.

Naughty neon nightingales
offer openly outrageous
perfectly peculiar purple pelicans
Queen-sized queer quinces.

Reserved rubinesque rhinos
surprise silly silver-sequenced
Tap-dancing toucans, timidly tripping
Usually unsuspecting unicorns.

Vivacious, vividly violet
Wildly whirling wildebeast
X-ray xenophobic X Men....
Yellow-bellied yapping yaks
Zap zany-brained zebras.
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

if you remember the alphabet, you weren't there

(unless you're channeling)

steve, you've made singing the abc's a challenge worthy of tongue twisters everywhere.
if panta rhei finds this, you'll see what i mean

i rather like this altho i don't have any idea what i'd do with it if i brought it home. probably put it up on a shelf until a notion came along. couldn't throw it away... that would be thoughtless.

I think this rocks.
I think it should be sent to all the schools and used for teaching the alphabet...it's way more interesting than what they use now.
In fact, it's mindbending!
The kid in me loves loves loves it.
I am deeply thankful you called to her, and brought her out.
She's been neglected for far too long these days.....

thanx, judih....gee I hope the panta rhei don't find me...haha...

SmileGRL....yes you must be careful not to get tied up in knots....

L Rod....I know, that's why I didn't use the Vulcan alphabet...

Wireman....I see we've been hitting the same pit stop for refueling...

mtmynd....yea, i guess you're right, we can only keep so many
knick knacks....

thanx hester...maybe you're right too, about the school thing...anything to keep their attention in a education system competing with high speed graphics....always happy to awaken the kid in anybody.....so this poem was a success...I wrote this 3 years ago looking out over Lac Morency in the Laurentian Mountains
of Quebec....don't ask me what the connection was...I think the sheer beauty made me giddy.......peace......steve
