Icicle theories

Post by hester_prynne » July 22nd, 2008, 12:36 am

Hot days
are perfect
for pondering
icicle theories.

Today, for example,
I've been meticulous
in examining
the frozen distance
between the two ends
of one.

Amazing what I have found!
Why therein lies
the illustrated heartland itself.
The human condition,
if you will.

(You get my drift?
The ice of life my friend!)

Comedy, and tragedy
huddle together here,
comforting each other.

Poets protest jagged ends,
unfair origins,
while slow deceitful
certain death,
dangles n drips
in cold
abandoned forlornity.

It's a perfect picture
my little study is!
Of I, we and thou,
in ice.

Summering fakes
in a futile berg.
Little butter stories,
plum pie visions,
holding us prisoner
from our very own
birth tickets,
our gleeful,
short,
wild rides.

We are prayludes
to eventual evaporation,
that's it!

Indeed.
I'd say this proves
without a doubt,
that character
is the only worthwhile remnant
to leave behind.
"I am a victim of society, and, an entertainer"........DW

Agatha Christy penned the perfect crime
it was a murder done in the library
with an icicle through the heart
it then melted and disappeared

hest...
If the frozen distance between the ends of one were to eventually evaporate, maybe that's not a bad thing?

"Prayludes"... you're killing me with that one!

I'll have to come back to this one a few times, I can see that.

well, ice my age with mammoths wooly!..."Prayludes" was exceptional - I was just getting set to slip into overdrive when I came to that & had to drop back down into 2nd & dip into the pedal for some of that light sweet arabian crude - pour it on, girl, pour it on...
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
