no. I'm saying I don't want to do it. I've had enough conflict in my life. Every day is conflict with various issues.

I want peace. Love. acceptance. collaboration. Art.

A sweet breeze on my face while sitting outside on the deck with friends who laugh with me and talk to me and tell me their views.

I can't do conflict any more. It is totally taxing.

I love to learn and connect and reach out for views which are different than mine but I don't want to fight.

I'm a pacifist.

I just want music and love and poetry.

Doreen I love u......u are the "Beatest' & that's a compliment.....mark naz ya see we are beat....yes we know conflict is part of life....hell we came up in the 60's......the whole country went up in flames when we were in our teens....all we're saying is we come here for creation and of course peace...i'm beat....i know it ain't the 50's....i wanna move on to something new and different.....a place where conflict is not necessary and if you say you can't, you've lost the chance from the get go......when has being at odds worked.....just look at the way it has to be logic of saying conflict has to be part of life.....it's like a bandwagon that's blowing everything asunder and your saying, "i might as well jump on board".....this S8 experiment is bigger than me....bigger than u....bigger than all of us cause it's new and the unknown ...why not make it new and not like the known????....which we know sucks.......
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

Why not see the various boards here as a radio dial... pick your station and dig on it. Maybe General Discussion should be Debate, which seems to be what it's become.

Conflict: sometimes, ya' just gotta bitch and it's always more productive to have another ear to hear.. it helps to alleviate the annoyance within us that creeps in unexpectedly ...

That's exactly how I see it, Cecil..... there's a place for everything. We could actually set up a Debate forum if there's enough interest. I do enjoy debating REAL issues, occasionally, myself. I'm not going to change the name of General Discussion to Debate, though.

To me, there's a big difference between people debating real issues and people having petty arguments with each other about bullshit that just gets people upset. That type of conflict is wasted energy.

Conflict about petty shit posted for the sole purpose of riling people up spins my head, wastes my energy. Hey why do I even get involved with it, I donno.... I guess in the case of the recent bullshit it was because I felt like my entire gender was being slammed and I didn't like women being bashed like that. *shrug*

I prefer reading a poem or a short story that deals with conflict, viewing a painting or creating one that shows conflict, etc. Conflict in ART is one thing. But petty arguments are another.

I was about to say that if I wanted that type of conflict in my life, I'd get back together with my ex-husband. I'm sure you see my point. I really should stay out of these things.

I specially enjoy reading, seeing & listening. Also sometimes interacting in different ways. I´m not an artist-artist and I don´t know english at all . My country & life sometimes are in high ammounts or conflict, sometimes not. Maybe I tend to feel things in a more messy way, or I´m already an expert avoiding antagonism, who knows!.
