connie baby, I don't do intimidation. I'm not big enough for it.
being a victim of rape does not make one an expert on rape
it's an unfortunate personal experience but it's not research
I don't have prison fantasies, I know too much about the real deal
But while I was there I did a prolonged research project
I interviewed prisoners about their crimes
I focused on murderers, they were the most interesting
but I also interviewed many rapists or people who were there for rape
about one in ten rapes were violent, real rapes, ones where the perp took the booty by force
the rest were false accusations, hysteria, seduction rapes and family rape
Most people who have studied this subject agree that the motivation for rape is not sex but power and empowerment
This power and empowerment quest works both ways. In a violent or forced rape, the attacker is seeking power or a feeling of empowerment.
But there is a more common phenomena. He and She have sex and the following morning She has guilt or second thoughts and cries 'rape!' They break out the rape kit and sure enough those little swimmers are in there. Case closed. In this case She is the one seeking power and empowerment.
Rape is a two edged sword.
Enjoy your orange juice.

your research was a little compromised by the fact that you were interviewing only those in jail. while their accounts may be true, it is still beyond verification. that might be how they perceive or interpret it , but it still might not be the truth.
i don't like being told by anyone anywhere that they're going to make a woman out of me. that doesn't wash. aside from that we're cool.

tell me about the murderers clay
tell me about the guy who never makes any threats
just comes through your window at night
and kills you in your sleep
cause he is a nice guy
a hell of a nice guy
he don't want to hurt you
he don't want to see you suffer
he just wants to kill you
that is the one that interests me
I found your exchange with perezoso a couple years ago very interesting
it sure sounded like two guys making threats to each other
CB rambos the truckers called guys like that.
you remember the conversation I am talking about clay,
the one between you and perezoso and stupid bob.
I kind of lost some respect for you that night
I have seen your threats before Clay, but I chose to ignore them, Let them slide. You can't shit the shitter old buddy .
It must be a guy thing I guess.
Sorry doreen am I getting off topic
maybe not
isn't this about violence really
amazing how many murderers started out by killing their mothers.
I am a fortunate son to have lived this long with out taking a human life.
or being killed myself. Violence seems to have been my first nature. Does this sound like bravado.

ok dino
I apologize for saying I could make a woman out of you
that was brutal metaphor but it's a brutal subject
I thought that you would see that immediately
and I thought that you were thick skinned enough to roll with that mock punch
Jack,
show me these threats you mention
I don't make threats, I make promises
I remember some exchanges with perezoso
ones where we took empty threats to the level of hyperbole
maybe I'm stupid
I took none of it seriously
we were just doing the dozens

they are long gone in the dumpster thank god
"shut up or I will shut you up"
does that ring any bells?
You got a poetic license and all I got is a Class A trucker's license.
I take everything too literal I suppose
That is why I am not a poet.
lets move on
love peace and taco grease

I don't think so.
Just stating the obvious implication.

Too Much Information
if you will scroll to the top of this topic
you will see that you are the one who opened it
I was just stating my experience with the matter
the same as you were. I also have opinions on the subject.
If it is 'your cause in life' to fight against sex abuse, then do it
saying "I was raped, I was raped, look at me," does nothing to end sex abuse
go work at a shelter. Actually do something. Start a website.
But don't feel alone. The victim mentality is endemic.
You have a nice day too.

It is not my only cause. It is one part of my life's work, to fight against sexual abuse.
I AM doing something about it. I'm talking openly on the internet, linking to articles about rape, discussing what it means to be raped, talking about the fact that when a woman says NO, no matter what, even if she's married to the perpetrator, if she says NO and STOP and he doesn't stop, it's rape.
To talk openly about it is part of my work to help people become more aware.
If I could get paid enough to make my mortgage and bills working at a woman's shelter, maybe I would. But unfortunately I have bills to pay and it's a little late to start a career as a social worker. The only work I could get there would pay me minimum wage. I can't live on that.
On second thought, honestly, even if I were younger and were able to start a career in social work to make a decent living, I don't know that I could handle it. The problem is too close to me. It would be emotionally detrimental to me. I have never fully healed from the experience myself.
I did not mention my own rapes to get attention to myself and say "I was raped, I was raped, look at me."
I mentioned the rapes because I have personal experience which could shed some light to other women out there who may be unfortunate enough to have such an experience. As a sister to all women, I am an advocate for fighting rape and stopping it.
I am a strong woman who reaches out to help other women and to also help make men aware of what women go through when this happens. I do not perpetuate continued victimization. I fight it.

I don't have a "victim mentality." I WAS a victim of rape. It's simply a fact. It's not a "mentality."But don't feel alone. The victim mentality is endemic.
