chair

Post by mtmynd » August 3rd, 2008, 4:24 pm

give me a noun
don't dig too deep

"chair"

how you dare
I swear...

four footed
always stiff
unable to walk
alone in dark rooms
waiting for some ass
the misery of the chair

they dream you know...
of those that have it softer
those that have been called 'sofa'
those that have been over-stuffed
but not the lonely innocence of 'chair'

the bare boned barracuda of sit
hung up in the land of amish
stumbled over thru departures

'sit up straight, mofo!'

yes, you do have your moments
when you command your attention
stiff as a board - hard wooden bastard

"chair"

to the Amish, I imagine a couch is something like getting drunk. I'm considering one myself.

"The lonely innocence" of a Shaker Chair

Image

Be easy for a mofo to sit up straight on a chair like that wouldn't it?

A very good one Cecil
Enjoyed reading it immensely

interesting, mt!

I've tried a few times to write about inanimate objects but it's tough. I always instill my own personality into or onto the subject. I guess that can't be helped.

the chair is the gestapo of the seat world. sit up straight and pay attention.

straight backed leisurely suffering.

mt, i admire anyone that can write about/of an object, god knows i've tried and like bennie, i usually add my own personality to it and so it ends up being all about me. *grin*

Wonderful poetry. :D

I don't do chairs
I sit on the floor
but I love this poem
good one, cec

anyway, I've been getting in trouble with nouns lately
they are too simple for some people to understand

dino... show no pity to those rascally inanimates... they know better, believe me... they know better. than what i haven't solved... yet. pass me an overstuffed and the answer will arise from deep within...

mnaz... have you found that bottle of sofa yet? sure need one after a long, hard sit. at least i used to. it enhanced the condition. you know?

o-boy, truck... those amish chairs. what can i say... they may look very smart, very proper, but don't be fooled. no sirree! them's the kinda chairs that pleasure was never intended. strict adherence to the code... that's the purpose of the Amish chair.

dino - we had two of them white plastic, ubiquitous, stackable chairs... and now we have one red plastic, ubiquitous, stackable chair and one yellow plastic, ubiquitous, stackable chair... all thanks to plastic spray paint. the disguise does resemble comfort... somewhat. but the visual appeal is sooo much better. btw: cheap romano indeed does grate, not only your ass but my own ass has had the drill.

Odette... Odette.. where have we met? merci for joining in. it's nice seeing you here.

Ah! Judih... yes indeed! chair and S&M belong quite together in that red velvet boudoir... with a nicely wound leather riding crop juxtaposed next to a feather boa.

el mingo - pray tell how you've stood for over 24 hours straight..? certainly a good, stiff chair would look good by now... Thx, amigo, for the stop-over but next time a overstuffed will be available, yes?

Yes, Bennie... I have only heard second hand about Scots and the chair. It is rather amazing that there is this stiff, hard, straight-backed device within the borders of your own country. How does this 'chair' get to be in so many places yet never improve upon the comfort so many long to have? There'll be one on Mars when man gets there and sets up house... wait and see.

Howdy, Perdida! one must disengage from the person and become 'chair' to write 'chair' ... at least that's the theory. hah! Thank you for taking time to reply. It is appreciated.

damn, eLRod... how can you squat for hours at a time without 'chair' dictating your positioning? you must be mad! and you knees, they must be worn raw. or do you lie down prone and key the board?

hey, hey, Hes'..! Ode to chair... the bastardly device that summons comfort but lies and fools the occupier into a false sense of relaxation. The ode should truly be to 'sofa' ! Thx for stopping in.
