Go ahead. Talk about it.

Yes I write for me,
but I write with you in mind

Not interested in going anywhere else. Why do you keep telling me to post to other sites?

what's up doreen
is there a subtext here that I am missing?
You know me "I am not aware of too many things." eddie brickell song.
love that song too.
but I won't put a link to it

I am glad you enjoy posting to a lot of sites Doreen. Just not my thing. I like going back to the same old place.

Wireman said he was not into slamming he is into jamming.
But he did slam.

And got slammed back.

That's the way it goes.

Clay had to make his point about the glass of water and wireman not being missed here.

"I don't get around much anymore."

that is two or three times you have mentioned posting other places, pardon me for keeping count.

Do you want me to post less here, I will.

yes your son is brilliant, that is what I meant.

How is Peevette? See her posting to other sites?
Her son was in Afghanistan, a marine, I would sure like to find out if he is okay.

one more thing

Thistles and Marigolds, judihh invited me there. it seems to be mostly wireman and her and a few of her friends, I feel comfortable there. A small circle of friends, I guess that is my thing.

I think I see what my mal function is you are tired of me saying I miss wireman.

Okay
I will keep it to myself.

Sorry mnaz poor word choice, not a whine, Sunday school is is a mind fuck. I know nothing about raising children. Not sure how you deal with religion and a child's mind. I was spared a religious indoctrination but not enculturation. Nobody escapes that unless they were raised by wolves.

Please pardon me. what I wrote proves your point I think. I need to be more careful of what I write. But what you say about Sunday school is so alien to me.

Jack, several times I told you why I mentioned other sites to you. You said you missed Wireman. I told you where to find him so you can post with him. That's the only reason why I mentioned other sites. I've seen him and posted with him every day since he made his studio8 public announcement.

Ok

Thanks for the information

Maybe I don't miss him that much

Thistles and Marigolds is good enough.

I must be shy, I just don't want to meet a bunch of new people online

Hey, Sunday school was alien to me too. Maybe I should write a book about it some day. I just blocked it out of my mind for years, and it's only in the last coupla-three or so that I realized not all Sunday school is based on such ominous, Draconian concepts as I was taught...

ultimately, we are self-contained entities - whether in cyberspace or not. it is that self-containment, and the urge to break through that, that propels us to create art. i don't see the problem. if "communication" with "real" people is what you seek then by all means open the door and walk in the sunshine. for me, i like both ways and don't see a big difference between the two besides a physical presense - which ain't what it's cracked up to be anyway!

i think the difference between net and real life is i mostly get more quality time with my friends on the net, cause real life is such a rush. i teach, i have a minute, i run to teach, i see a friend, i run to teach, etc.

Only when a sudden windfall blows my way do i have a chunk of time to be. Then i can go to a gallery with a friend (ah, Rothko exhibit, how wonderful it was) and actually be, pure and simple, without having to share a lot of speech.

With all the history of posts we all share, we build mosaics of our friends on the net. And it's fascinating. Remember Graham Seidman's photographs, composites of photos to build a portrait
(http://www.geocities.com/privaj/Graham.html).

That's the way i see net compositions. Real as a composition can be. Intriguing as hell. And something to cherish.

Is it troublesome for you?

Not for me amigo.

"life is trouble" zorba the greek

As for for Draconian the only expericnce I have had with Sunday School is what the "Quackers" Call First Day School. I remember the Meeting I belonged to in Nashville where the children sang songs like "old Friends are golden, new Friends are silver"
And Simple Gifts

You got to write about it mnaz. That is all it is grist for the typwriter.
I don't anything on how to raise children. How do you deal with the subject of death should it come up? It hurts my head to think about what you might have been told. I wish i could remember something about the church father,'s a nietzsche bit. He was including all religions I think, well at least the judeo christian tradition. Something about how the church fathers would no hestitate to lie.

Be back later with the Nietzsche quote because I think it is relevant to this thread but only in the most nebulous way maybe? No probably not just me driveling on again.

j I don't so much want to meet Cecil or Kort but if I had a wind fall I would sure like to see there art up close and in three dimensions.

maybe the more remarcable difference that I found between internet-based-communications and more face-to-face based communications is that the first ones have a more opaque-explicit-psicodramatic-ad-absurdum-theatrical tone. Interesting, also!!!!
An acute observation I think. I have to look up the word acute to see if it means what I think it does.

Oh crap! I don't know sheet! I don't know what y'all are on about half the time. And so then I waltz in and post some insignificant tripe that seems pointedly pointless now.

I think the real part was apropos though!

We all come here for different reasons and when someone rains on the parade of why we're here we become incensed that we're all wet and puddled now.

Also we have become familiar to one another. Voices taken a certain way, the meaning gleaned from their words such that we are certain we know what they're talking about. But who can really know for sure.

It boils down to trust and respect. Wireman didn't feel respected. He felt shit upon. And it's too bad. No he didn't need to come into General Discussions and be subject to verbal abuse but he wanted to see what was up. It startled his feelings about this place and those he's come to think he knows.

We all come here for different reasons. If for some reason we feel tainted by the voices of others we shun away for awhile. Ain't no harm or foul. Though yes, sometimes there's foul!

It's only normal we all sometimes get each others goats. That's what real family does...why not virtual family and friends too? Is that so shocking? It's what makes the world go round and round and then return to center.

It's all good except for the bad.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

the title for general says
"Go ahead talk about it"

Wireman is not much into slammin
He came here to talk about it

Clay more or less told him to fuck off he won't be missed

Doreen told him she was tired of teary farewells

wireman did give a farewell until he was dissed and pissed.

Why the hell can't wireman come here and say what he wants?
He was a hell of a lot more respectful in saying it then the reply he got from Clay.

sure Clay can say what he wants too.

we all saying what we want.

58,000 men died in Vietnam for no other reason I can find expect to give us this right to say what we want.
That makes no sense I guess but I can't think of any other reason those men died then they took an oath to defend and protect the constitution of the united states.

So, why did they have to go to a foreign country to do it, a small country that was no threat to us, the real threat was here at home.In Washington DC not Hanoi.

.

Come on back wireman and kiss doreen and clay's ass and everything will be fine

Inter net is real enough for me Nazz. I am pretty calm now, but I have gotten the adrenalin shakes here so bad my hands shaking so bad I could hardly type.

Sorry nazz i will get off my soap box now.

Knock it off, wouldja?

That's ridiculous. And it's rude.

If this shit keeps up, I'm leaving this site and I'm not coming back.

And I mean it.

Hahahahahahahahaha!

It was a joke. I can't leave. I have to change the banners.

Not a joke that the statement was ridiculous, though, and I wish you'd knock it off.

This is about the oldest most tired and exhausting stupid topic i've ever participated in for such a lengthy time.

And I MEAN that. For real. :)

Can't you just drop it? Let it go?

Why would you say that anyway?

Don't answer that. I don't care.

I'm going to write poetry.

Jack, now come on. Would you talk that way if Doreen and Clay were actually sitting right next to you-- in person? Honestly?
