I know... beautiful timing... planned like that, of course

obama's speech was HISTORY!!!!!
absolutely fabulous!!!

I'm psyched!

I'm honored to witness this moment in history... it was just awesome!

If he doesn't win?

well it will only be because the voting system is screwed or something is way askew with divided america and those of us who have sanity, love, hope, peace, and working for what's RIGHT in our hearts...

we should split and start our own country... and i'm not kidding either! :)

Obama's speech was, beyond doubt, the most powerful of all the major keynote speakers. He pulled a couple of tears outta my two eyes towards the end.

I was amused by one of the MSNBC political pundits, Pat Buchanan, the same one that ran for Republican President years back, reported that Obama's speech was written by Obama and his delivery was the strongest convention speech he has ever heard, saying it was overall a centrist speech that touched both political parties. That from a dedicated Republican.

I agree with old Pat. I really believe that anyone, regardless of part affiliation, had to have been emotionally moved by Obama's speech. If anyone that listened to him came away unmoved, unimpressed or unchanged by this singularly unique human being, is either out of touch or emotionally dead. I pity them.

Obama's speech was amazing. I too welled up....this man is so in touch with reality...like no other president we've had before, at least in my lifetime. And I still think Hillary is a phony self serving bitch. She stole those words about it not being about her from Obama...and then today, she was congratulating McCain for picking that right wing monster lady from alaska! She is a wannabe demogogue and we are all very fortunate that she did not get the nomination.
She has no grace.
Oh yes, and were you so stoked when Biden was Obama's choice????
I mean, he chose the best VP!!!!!

H 8)

PS....My mom who is 83, just can't seem to go for Obama....and I really think the bottom line reason for her is generational racism!!!! I mean, she really searches for things to say out of his favor and yet what she says always boils down to racism and or fear! It's very sad to observe this! She totally can't see it about herself!!!!!!

I don't like all the whoop de doo over the first black presidential candidate.

Obama is a good man, he is not running as a "black man"

I don't like the sound of it. And I bet Obama does not either.

It sounds to me like bullshit, media hype. If John McCain wins the pundits (like Pat B.) will talk about what great progress has been made, a black man was nominated for the presidency. So we can feel good about that. Fuk that shit.

I am not celebrating yet Hester. At this point I don't have a clue who is going to win. I was so sure that we would throw those bums out in 2004, I was bummed out for months after Kerry lost. I am not celebrating yet. I ain't singing bye bye black bird yet.

And I would have voted for Hillary if she had won.

I never lose any sleep over politics.

I saw part of Obama speech & show with spanish subtitulados some hours ago in the national tv. To tell the truth, his words didn´t emotion or touched me (well, they suppossed not to be said with that purpose!! ). I also never was touched in a positive emotional way by an argentine president or candidate with chances to be president. But oddly I felt touched by first Evo Morales speech as a president some years ago.
I saw on tv lot of people very emocionadas while Obama was talking. That touched me somehow!. It´s interesting to also know that you´re so enthusiastic about him!!!!. Best wishes!!!!!!!! :D
