I wonder what you're talking about. Bizarre statement. What stupid birds? What slower ones? Which two weeks? What targets of opportunity? Strange post. I don't get it. I'm sure he misses you, too, tho. At least you could pet him without sneezing, unlike me.Lightning Rod wrote:how I miss the little murderer
it didn't take Mingus a hot two weeks to clear out the stupid birds
after that he would strike the slower ones and other targets of opportunity
never showed one bit of remorse

I don't know what's hard to understand about this, doreen
it's just an observation of natural behavior
maybe I shouldn't call certain birds stupid, that's cruel
perhaps they were just behind on the learning curve, survivally challenged
once the birds in the neighborhood learned that he was deadly
they were a little more careful about him
hell, they had the crow police working
to call out a warning when he came on the scene

Ahhh! The missing information! I see! The missing information is this........ "it didn't take but two weeks AFTER HE CAME TO LIVE AT THE HOUSE" .... the 2 weeks you refer to was the missing information.... other missing information was this
That's good writing. That tells people what you mean. Thanks!once the birds in the neighborhood learned that he was deadly

hell, they had the crow police working
to call out a warning when he came on the scene

let me say this to you doreen
I always appreciate constructive criticism
you have helped me in a good way over the years
to be more conscious about explaining things carefully
I need this influence because I tend to assume that the reader will bring something with him. In fact I demand that the reader bring something with him if he wants to take something home.
They taught us in journalism school that we should aim for an audience that had a seventh grade education. I keep having to remind myself of this fundamental even when I would prefer to ignore it.
