Toots the Turtle

Post by Lightning Rod » September 5th, 2008, 11:51 am

Toots the Turtle

They call me Tortuga Toots
my superpowers include
an uncanny ability to move
slowly slowly
I'm armor plated and carry
my hideout on my back

In civilian life I am a pirate,
treasure buried on a beach
in the Galapagos guarded
by my giant tortoise band

When I hit land
the wenches shriek and swoon
they scrape and bump and tap my shell
and lay their eggs beneath the moon

I'll probably live forever
if they don't catch me first
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

They call me tweets
da byrd.
I fly faster than sound,
but you can still hear me singin.
I'm big boned and feathery,
my hideout, the sky.

In civilian life I am a gypsy,
treasure buried in heart,
in soulitude guarded
by my wits and sarcasm.

When I hit land
the pirates roll their eyes,
they lick their lips and start a fire,
thinking what a tasty morsel i'll roast into.

They'll probably taste me forever,
if I don't swallow them first.

Lrod!!!!
you are so inspiring.
Look what you made me do......
Nice read toots.

what words are worn as masks
or whether the chameleon has
found some lasting task

whether 'tis meets the kind of thing
the place
to rest a 'budget' or broken wings

good question
