New Gravity

Post by saw » September 9th, 2008, 1:26 pm

I have this thing,
called intuitive toxicology
that tells me that
"safe levels"
of contaminants
are a contradiction
to my health
and rational thought.
I'm actually unmoved
by abstractions
in this case, rather it's
those infected monsters
that roam my neighborhood
clumsily dropping
body parts on my sidewalk
that I find disturbing,
the way they mingle
with the unsuspecting
population....how, I ask
do I balance this type
of gravity that doesn't
really ground me, instead
gives me pains
in my head and belly,
this new gravity that
calls for faith and trust
in drunken corporate frat boys
that have become oh so
comfortable telling epic lies,
that make the EPA the same
as Fox News guarding
the hen house, that tell us
homeland security
is making us safe by forcing
us to remove our stinky shoes
at the airport to stop
the spread of athletes feet...
I worry about this new gravity,
born in the comic political science
of bamboozler bush and his
twisted-lipped sister of ill repute,
the guy with the darth-dick surprise
under his semi-conscious skirt.....
gravity, gravity,
where are you ?
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
