The Right Tool in the Toolbox

Post by saw » October 8th, 2008, 5:50 am

It finally hit me,
I should do what I do best,
well at least do the thing
that makes me feel most alive,
the thing that touches
all the right spots in that
little box in my chest,
that area in the ribcage
that holds the windswept fires
that sleep too often
in the middle of the day
but at night when the wolf calls,
become a den of passion,
yea, it finally hit me, I should
use my pen to touch her lips.
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I like the flow and logic of this one, steve

it's hell when you offer them the pen
when all they want is the ink
sign here
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

The Poet's Eye
