News Babes

Post by Lightning Rod » October 20th, 2008, 2:24 pm

I watch cable news all day
I don't really read the articles
I just enjoy looking at the News Babes

that's what I told my mother
about the Playboys that she found
in my drawers drawer
"I just read the articles, mom"

a good face is worth a million dollars
no wonder plastic surgery is so in demand
but how must they look like in the morning
before the writers make them look like they know everything
dainty fingers on the pulse of a nation
delivered between dimples and eyes to die for

It's the only reason I watch cable news
Ok, mom, I admit, I don't read the articles
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Erika Hill has the most wonderful face
mobile as mercury
she's as good as Charlie Chaplin or Red Skelton
and those dimples (I'm a sucker for dimples)

I'm also taken with Candy Crowley
she's not a hottie but she's a hot journalist

Lightning Rod, I liked the play on words that this piece possessed. You have a very unique voice, your work takes me in other directions - I enjoy that journey.

That's my only ambition, RJ, to take the reader in other directions.
Thanks for reading.
