shhhh...

Post by mtmynd » November 22nd, 2008, 1:26 am

there she stood
not nude but naked
her stance stunning
her thoughts quietly stepping
across other's feelings
kitten tracks at midnight
hush.. listen to her silence
follow her just this once

This is lovely, yes.

Just one question. How exactly can a person be naked but not nude?

nude = without clothing, but naked is without anything at all, both the inner and the outer... raw and transparent. at least that's the way i intended. :)

thx, truck... and thx, dor'... i appreciate it.

oh ok. i see :)

Here's a tidbit of useless information. Turns out "nuder" is a word... as in more nude. How anybody can be more nude than nude is beyond me.

One of the after effects of lsd for me is a nakedness, I can't hardly stand it sometimes and have to go looking for a fig leaf. Hard for me to judge anyone anymore. Everywhere I look, I see the best and worse in myself.

please pardon the ramble

truck... lsd made you naked, eh? dropped your mask and you saw the real you, perhaps..? that must have been a very worthwhile trip... lsd as a sacrament, as it should be. funny how some trips never leave the frontal lobe... staying with us day after day after day as if they just happened... fresh, maybe...

thx, saw... it just flowed like honey over the table's edge.

yes, mj... glad you liked and thanks for stopping in. :)

You make a good distinction between nude and naked as used in this instance. Beautiful poem so full of deep resonance.
