Second time one my posts has been edited here on studio eight in the past couple weeks. That is how the last hack attack started. Me, Zlatko, and mnaz got hacked about two years ago. That's the way it started. THen when we started posting to feedback about it the whole website went down. Doreen had to do it over with some patches or something.

Hey truckin... did the other time this happened during the past 2 weeks have to do with the link changing as to where the link took you when you clicked it?

If so, I don't think there's anything to worry about here because sites change where their links go to all the time. The same link could go a new place the next day if they make changes to their site. In this case, it looks like it's been redirected to another site, hopefully done on purpose by the entertainment site in your original link.

If it was some other type of edit you're reporting that you didn't do which makes you suspect that someone's trying to hack in here like they did before, please point out the post to me, OK? thanks!

*shaking my head*... oh boy.... I donno how this could be happening again. I sure hope it's not happening again.

I remember before, somehow they changed you and mnaz into admins and that's how they got access to the admin panel to do their hacking.

I just can't see how this could be happening again... we have an "anti-bot" question in the registration process. I can't see that any bot could be programmed to get through. Unless there are hackers who are real people who are actually taking the time to hit our site ... but wouldn't that be bizarre? I mean who cares about our site? It's just a little site. Hackers like to disrupt big sites so they can see the havoc and have a laugh. That's why they program bots to hit ALL the phpbb sites or vbulletin sites, etc... to make sure they hit a big one. This is my understanding anyway.

sighhhh.... going to do some research.... like go to the phpbb help site and see if other sites are being hit and keep an ear out for the gossip. Will also check in the admin panel to make sure none of our members have been set to admin who aren't admins .... but boy that might be a chore because i'm pretty sure i'd have to check the entire member list one by one... sighhh again
