we had slept in a pack
the basic places that held bodies and dreams draped on the furniture
like a mist the eyes open and smile and the morning
we eat breakfast
made by our friend in a beautiful presentation
we eat and talk of the many happy moments in our lives
we are blessed by sundance prayers
and our ancestors hopes
i slept
in a ceremonial way
