Obese, Obtuse

Post by joel » September 30th, 2007, 9:51 pm

Obese, Obtuse for monikers seem true
enough for shallow paperheavyweights
with height and width as metrics infinite,
with depth as thin emaciated trees—
still thick enough to vantage obfuscate,
but pliable should weakest windstorms rage.
If I am paper, crease my decency
for origami lotus blossoms— free—
or maybe fold a crane— but ply my page
for something beautiful, facilitate
my turning for a peaceful plainness. Please
create a newer form more intimate
for me than copypaper. Love creates
such countless open wonders; pray, will you?
