Packing summer away.......

Post by Peevette » October 4th, 2007, 8:03 pm

Autumn leaves all around
red, orange, yellow and green
dry, brittle, floating in the wind.

Cool air drifting in the windows
storm windows dropped
glove basket unpacked from the closet.

Filling the sans basket space
tent, sleeping bags, tarp
summer's toys......

Oh! Ice skates say hello
Alone, dark closet, months
Oh! Snow shoes wake as well

Autumn leaves and color
Summer says good night
Winter's soon greeting
after the Fall
Some days you're the bug; some days you're the windshield.

parece que hoy excedimos
después de dos horas de movimiento
la sensación de humedad y pesadez límites para Río de Janeiro
"¿el verano va a ser así?"
(no te acordás..!)
cielo amarillo
y alerta meteorológico
aire quieto con jazmines
montones de gente-de-jueves y perros en las calles
a las nueve de la noche
el lado veraniego de la primera
ya está acá

it seems we excede today
after two hours of movement
the humidity & heavy feeling record
for Rio de Janeiro
"will the summer be this way?"
(don´t you remember...!!)
yellow sky
& meteorologic alert
still air with jazmines
lots of thursday-people and dogs in the streets
at 9 p.m.
the summer-side of spring is already here

afternoon sun
of october light
summer still lingers
in the afternoon
but cool autumn winds of early morning light
promise change

my summer garden
sun flowers this year
starting to flower
live oak trees
true to their green nature
Pecans still not floresence

no leaves
but some pecan nuts falling

just a ramble
a random GO inspired by the words above

very pretty
thank you both
