the winter without you was unfriendly

Post by Perdida » October 5th, 2007, 7:27 pm

the winter without you was unfriendly
an interruptor of sorts
snapping her fables like a disease
dark-winged and cerebral
teasing me with your delicate breath
and your eyes that opened and closed
holding the universe
searching the world
for answers.

I reached for you in the grief
of distant bells on Sunday
morning wake-ups
the sound I so purely love
and love to hate
for I can touch it and you
only with the hours of a sky climb
and all its seasons
kept

yes
the winter without you was unfriendly
your voice, unexpected, and mine
like lightning
