The Destroyer

Post by westcoast » March 24th, 2008, 8:57 pm

Skid Row, his Ganges

This place
a pyre without a procession

Fire engines wail
along its holy banks

Human dogs skulk, skinny

A drunk lies unconscious
spread like Jesus

On a filthy cot

.

thanks, sooZen. my inspiration is usually of short bursts.

i don't know that i could ever write a lengthy poetry. my thought processes are wired differently now from years of crisis and issues management, social marketing, propaganda writing, public relations and other forms of mass communications. i think, resolve and move on in rapid fashion.

certainly something to try :) a new challenge. thank you for the thought.
